REFLECTION

Beyond the intense days and long nights of work, I’ve observed something special happen to my colleagues and me; we developed into leaders among professionals. I’m fortunate enough to be a part of a nationally and globally competitive program that has proven to be invaluable. Even more so, I’m a part of a community excited to lead the industry. Due to a high level of collaboration, my personal growth and my colleagues’ development have always been a synonymous progression.

Our 5th and final year has proven to be a reflection within itself. Working on our final studies has allowed us to apply our cumulative education in a thoughtful and creative way; even more so, it was having the liberty to engineer the work process in which facilitated further growth. In part of thesis, our diverse skills were integrated - echoing the values of an engineer. Furthermore, we developed a savviness by leveraging networks appropriately in effort to gather crucial project information.

Our education has been a long emergency into a special industry. We have grown an appreciation for our industry’s strengths as we strive to conquer the foreseeable challenges; however, and more importantly, we have developed an unprecedented respect for those who make up our industry. We are proud to be Penn Staters – as we are proud to be Architectural Engineers.
